Fixed airport fares from the campus and the Blean villages
Prices on this site are never printed, because no two pickups on the hill are quite alike: a Park Wood house, a Keynes room and a cottage in Tyler Hill each get their own figure. Put your pickup and your airport into the booking form and the price for the car comes up straight away, before any payment.
After you confirm, that price is the one you pay, whether you leave the campus at 3am on the last day of term or lose half an hour on the M25 on a Friday.

Fixed before you book
Enter your Blean address and airport in the online booking system and the fixed fare for the car appears straight away. The fare is confirmed with your booking.
What never changes it
The fixed fare does not change for traffic, roadworks or a diversion, or for early mornings, late nights, weekends and bank holidays.
What can be added
Waiting beyond the free time; extra stops not in the booking; big route changes asked for during the journey; car parking fees or tolls on the journey, where they apply. We tell you before anything is added wherever we can.
Waiting at the airport
Free for 45 minutes for international flights and 30 minutes for domestic flights, counted from the actual landing time. After that, waiting is charged at our standard waiting rate, which we give you when you book or on request.
Flight tracking, meet and greet
We track your flight from take-off to landing and time the collection to the actual landing, at no extra charge. Included on every airport collection: your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board and helps with your luggage to the car.

Good to Know
Getting a quote for a room on campus or a village address
Start with where you are: the college or court plus its campus postcode, or a house in Blean, Rough Common or Tyler Hill. Then add the airport and terminal, the travel date, a flight number if you are being collected, and a head count of passengers and big suitcases.
Let the suitcases pick the vehicle. Two big cases ride in a saloon (four seats); an estate also seats four but swallows three or four big cases; an executive car seats four with two or three; and for a term's belongings or a group, the MPV has six seats and space for four big cases or more.

What the price covers, and the few things that can be added
Nothing on the road moves it. No meter runs during the trip, so a jam, a lane closure or a detour costs you nothing extra, and neither does a 4am start, a Sunday or a bank holiday.
Extras arise only from changes or delays on your side, or from charges along the way: waiting longer than the free allowance (three quarters of an hour after an international flight lands, half an hour after a domestic one, ten minutes at your pickup), a stop you did not book, a large change of route requested mid-journey, and tolls or car park fees, the Dartford Crossing charge for example, where the route meets them.
Changed plans? Cancel a day or more ahead and nothing is charged. Inside 24 hours up to half the price can be kept, and inside 6 hours, or after the car has set off, all of it may be.

Sharing one car at the end of term
The price belongs to the vehicle, not to each seat, so flatmates on flights from the same airport at similar times can ride together and split one bill. List every court you need collecting from when you book: a stop added on the day can cost extra.
Term ends on 11 December 2026 and 19 March 2027, and the university closes from 23 December to 3 January. If you are flying home around those dates, book as soon as your tickets are confirmed.

Terminals, arrivals and the drive back up the hill
Heathrow's terminals are numbered 2 to 5; Gatwick has two, North and South, and a free shuttle runs between them all day and all night in roughly two minutes. Say which one you need in the booking.
Coming home, your landing is followed live at no cost to you and the driver stands in arrivals holding your name, then walks with you to the car, because Heathrow only lets drivers collect from its Terminal Parking car parks and Gatwick sends them to its Short Stay car parks. Back on campus you are taken to your accommodation; after reception closes, Campus Security deals with keys.
